PROJECTS - WHAT WE DONE FOR CUSTOMERS
After years of efforts to let us be on the top in the forgings industry in China, and always be a professional and realiable forgings manufacturer and supplier in the world, leading the forging industry. We make all kinds of forgings for all kinds of industries, including large machines, power station, shipbuilding and so on. Here are some examples that we did for the customers.
Songjie provided almost 35 forging peices for a giant press construction project for SMS group GmbH(one of the top companies in the field of metallurgy and rolling mill technology), including forging cylinders, forging plates and etc. Those products be used for the construction of a hydraulic closed-die forging press whose pressing force will lie at 50,000 tons. The end customer is one of the top aerospace industry suppliers. It will use this to make the titanium , aluminum forged pieces and etc. These forgings must withstand high loads and be used at aircraft fuselage, wings, landing gear and etc.
In the course of the general overhaul and the retrofitting of Langenprozelten Pumped Storage Station in Gemünden, Germany, Donau-Wasserkraft AG has its two generators replaced by Andritz Hydro. For this purpose, Songjie supplied two huge rotor shafts.
The manufacture of the two rotor shafts by Songjie started with the melting of the material. The low temperature steel with defined magnetic properties for the shafts was produced by the use of the Electro-Slag Remelting Process (ESR). The ingots produced had a weight of about 200 tons each. The entire forging process of each wave took about one week. In order to constantly keep the steel in the suitable temperature range for the hot working, the forging process steps were interrupted by several heating-up periods.
Andritz Hydro supplied one of the two machined rotor shafts, which weights around 91 tons, on March 21, 2016. For power generation, the shaft will be surrounded by four poles made of copper, with a weight of 34 tons each. Furthermore, it is the core of the soon-to-be world’s largest single-phase hydropower generator.
Marine shaft forgings are the big part for the ships, which including tail shaft, intermediate shaft, thrust shaft and etc. Songjie has the great experience for manufacturing the best marine shaft forgings, we always make and supply it for the Hyundai Heavy Industries, K Shipbuilding and etc.
